Honey Drizzler & JP Crowned

I paid close attention to layers while building this composition from a combination of scanned sketches, pen-tool work, shape manipulation and multiplication and layered gradients. I was aiming for a stylized rendition in photorealistic honey color . . . again took Mr. Mascari's advice to dim the background pattern to allow provide the object with greater definition.

In executing this project I utilized typography techniques, the pathfinder and pen tools, worked with a gradient within a greyscale color palate. I took Dan's advice to increase the transparency of the background to allow for the monogram to stand out on its own - looks much better!

I almost asked where the 'J' was, but I see it. It's very subtle. That's a good thing though, it unifies the letters and they complement/rely on one another.
