Welcome to Digital Illustration Winter 2009

If you are a student in the class you should have received an email invitation to post as a blog author.

If you have not received your email invitation please contact me at dmascari@aii.edu

It is your responsibility to post your work with a summary/description for each project. You should write in a professional manner and please leave constructive comments for your classmates work as you see fit.

Make sure that the work is saved in a web friendly version (jpg, gif, png). If the image is not appearing first check to make sure that it is in RGB mode and not CMYK.

Project One - design translation

Please post a web friendly version (.jpg, .gif, .pdf) of your design translation project. Write up a short summary of your project, outlining the techniques you used, your goals for the project and what knowledge you gained.

First Post - Assignment 1

I am starting this blog as a forum for my class in Digital Illustration at the Art Institute Tampa to share their work and comments with each other via the web. The first assignment was to create a vector based, stylized interpretation of Dick Tracy.

To my students: You have been added as contributors to this blog.
  • Log in via http://www.blogger.com/ or your Google account (if you have one)
  • Prior to our next meeting post the web version (.jpg, .png) of your stylized image, and a short description of your inspiration and techniques used.
  • The title of your post should contain your name.
  • The image should have a width of 350 pixels and the height adjusted proportionally from your original.
