This is my New and improved album cover of Ray Charles. I had fun working on this project. I pretty much just used the pen tool to outline the figure of Ray Charles, showing all the shadows and highlights on his face. I also used the pen tool to create the piano in the background. I used the pathfinder tool to overlap things throughout the album cover. I wanted the album cover to be black and white because it makes it look more original. i wanted the main aspect of the album cover, which is Ray charles, to stand out more than anything else in the cover.

I think that the black and white worked for yours because of your subject. Since Ray Charles was blind the black and white was closer to his world then the red background of the original. In my opinion.
The use of Black and white and great illustration really brought this piece together. Excellent illustrating!
